Air flow and filters

Introduction
This section describes the airflows and filters of HRV 501.
Important This ventilation unit should operate continuously!
If operation stops, it could result in leaking cold air from outside, giving condensate
water in ducts and unit, and in worst cases, dripping water from air diffusers
Function
The unit supplies fresh air, drawn in from the outside, to living rooms including sauna
and steam bath if present.
The dirty and humid air is drawn out from the kitchen, the living rooms, the baths etc.
and led into the unit, where the unit reuses the heat from the dirty air to warm up the
fresh outdoor air before this is blown into the house.

Filter guard
After approx. 4380 running hours, corresponding to approx. 6 months use, the filter
alarm function will activate a buzzer in the remote controller. The guide at page 30 de-
scribes filter change
The filter timer has to be reset according the guide at page 21

T1- Fresh outdoor air entering the unit, ready to be heated by the extract air

from the inside of the house (T3)
T2 – House supply air, heated by the extract air from inside the house
•
T3 – Extracted indoor air, used to heat the incoming fresh outdoor air
•
T4 - Exhaust air (used and polluted air) is ducted out of the house
