Powerboost function

The Powerboost function can be used to heat large amounts of
water more quickly than the power level Š.

Restrictions when using

This function is available for all hotplates, provided that the
other zone of the same group is not operating (see image).
Otherwise, in the visual display of the selected hotplate › and Š
will flash; then the power level will automatically set itself to Š.

Time programming function

This function may be used in two different ways:
to automatically switch off a hotplate.

as a timer.
■

Switching a hotplate off automatically

Enter the cooking time for the desired hotplate. The hotplate will
switch off automatically once this time has elapsed.
How to program
Select the required power level.

Press the S symbol. The x indicator lights up on the

selected hotplate. ‹‹ appears in the time program function
display. To select another hotplate, press the S symbol
several times, until the x indicator of the required hotplate
lights up.
Press the + or - symbol on the time program function. The

basic setting appears:
+ symbol: 30 minutes.
- symbol: 10 minutes.

Press the + or - symbol until the required cooking time

appears.
After a few seconds, the cooking time will start to count down.
Once the time has elapsed
The hotplate switches off. The beep sounds, and in the time
program function display ‹‹ appears for 10 seconds. The x
indicator lights up on the hotplate display. Pressing the S
symbol turns off the indicators and stops the beep.

To activate

Select the power level Š.

Press the + symbol. On the hotplate, the › indicator will

appear. You have now activated the function

To switch off the hotplate

Press the - symbol. The › indicator is no longer displayed and
the hotplate returns to power level Š. The Powerboost function
has been deactivated.
Note: In certain circumstances, the Powerboost function may
turn off automatically in order to protect the electronic
components inside the hob.
Changing or cancelling the time
Press the S symbol several times until the required x
indicator lights up. Change the cooking time using the + or -
symbols, or set to ‹‹.
Notes
If a cooking time has been programmed for several plates, it

can be set to display all the time values. To do this, press the
S symbol several times until the x indicator for the required
hotplate lights up.
Any cooking time can be programmed for up to 99 minutes.

Automatic timer

With this function you may select a cooking time for all
hotplates. Once a hotplate is switched on, the selected time will
begin to count down. The hotplate will automatically switch off
when the cooking time has elapsed.
Instructions on activating the timer are found in the chapter
entitled "Basic settings".
Note: The cooking time of a plate may be cancelled or
changed:

The timer

The timer can be set for periods of up to 99 minutes. It is
independent of the other settings. This function does not
automatically switch off a hotplate.
