Assembly / operation

The brackets are mounted with the covering either detached (CASTELLO
Pro) or attached (PALAZZO line) and with the parasol half open. The rain
gutter and wind shield can only be fitted when the parasols are fully open.
Before closing the parasols, both rain gutters and wind shield must be
removed. By adjusting the inclination of the rain gutter using the straps, the
water run-off can be optimised.

Assembling the brackets
1. only CASTELLO: Loosen the fixing
screw of the covering and raise the

covering.
2. Push the brackets (correctly orient-
ed) over the strut (PALAZZO Royal:
push on).
3. Position the brackets at the same
distance from the edge of the roof
and clamp them in place with the
Allen screw.
4. only CASTELLO: Lower the covering
and fix it again with the fixing screw.
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for each strut
affected.

The brackets must finally be in line
so that a good overlap between the
roof edge and the gutter remains. Tip:
loosen the covering only at one strut
at a time and attach the brackets strut
by strut.

shield, the parasols must be fully

Disassembly
Before closing the parasols, the attached rain gutter / wind shield must be
removed. To do this, detach them from the brackets. If necessary, pull out
the support tubes and disassemble them into the individual segments by
pulling them apart.

Care and maintenance

• Allow the rain gutter / wind shield to dry when open, to prevent the
formation of mould and discolouration.
• If necessary, clean the rain gutter / wind shield with lukewarm water,
mild detergent and a sponge.
• Do not use bleach or sharp objects, to avoid damage to the rain gutter /
wind shield.
• If the rain gutter / wind shield is used in a highly exposed location, in-
creased wear must be expected. In such cases, we recommend more
intensive care and maintenance.
• Generally speaking a defective rain gutter and/or wind shield can be
repaired by your GLATZ partner. Use only original replacement parts
from Glatz.

Preparing the rain gutter / wind
shield
1. Hook the rain gutter / wind shield into
the brackets on one side.
2. Put the upper support tube together

and push it into the tube pocket.

support tube together and push it
into the tube pocket.
4. Close Velcro fastenings.

Hang the gutter.
1. Hook the rain gutter into the brackets

on the adjacent parasol.
2. Level the rain gutter evenly to the
conical shape using the straps.
