Foundation
The duolift MTE 3000 is designed to be installed
without a base frame, therefore fastening to the gro-
und/foundation is most important. The entire load
(weight of vehicle and dead weight of the columns) is
transferred to the foundation through heavy-duty an-
chor bolts.
Before installing the lift it is always necessary to en-
sure that the floor is adequate (see Fig. 2 and Fig.
3).
When installing the lift on an upper floor, the floor's
suitability must be verified by a construction engineer
or another competent person.
The lift is normally mounted on small "base plates",
however if the floor quality is inadequate the lift can
be mounted on a base frame (available as an optio-
nal extra).
It is essential that the heavy duty anchor bolts pe-
netrate to their full working depth as shown in Fig. 3
to ensure sufficient safety for persons working under
the lift. (Heavy duty anchor bolts are not supplied
with the lift).
For the correct length of the active part of the anchor
bolt refer to Fig. 2. Drill size and tightening torque
must be in accordance with the bolt manufacturer's
instructions.
To achieve a perfect installation, the floor should be a
flat and level concrete floor (min. BN25, frost-proof)
designed to take a load of at least 200 kN/m
ted to an existing reinforced concrete floor individual
checks are required.

Installation and initial operation
7.1 Mechanical assembly
•
First bolt the lifting columns to the base plates
(using hexagon head set screw M16x40 with
washer). Then place them in position. The di-
stances between the columns/base plates are
shown in Fig. 4.
•
The base frame (optional extra) should be placed
in position, if required, and fixed to the floor with
M12 anchor bolts. Tightening torque and penetra-
tion into ground must be according to manufactu-
rer's specifications.
