This appliance may not be used in close vicinity to flammable

NEVER cover the toaster when it is in use.

To avoid risk of fire, empty the crumb tray at regular

intervals.
NOTE
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean all surfaces

that come into contact with food as described in the section
"Cleaning".

Setting up

CAUTION! RISK OF FIRE
► You should therefore NEVER locate the appliance close to or underneath
inflammable objects, especially not under curtains or suspended cupboards.
■ Unwind the cable completely from around the cable winder and lead it
through the cable clamp.
■ Place the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.
■ Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
NOTICE
► When the toaster is not in use, always remove the plug from the mains power
socket. This is the only way to ensure that the appliance is current-free.
