m Training the operators
•
Pass on the safety notes to all persons who
work at the machine.
•
The operator must be at least 18 years
old. Trainees must be at least 16 years old
but may operate the machine only under
supervision.

Persons working at the machine may not be
distracted.

Keep children away from the machine when
it is connected to the mains.
•
Wear close-fitting clothes. Take off jewelle-
ry, rings and wristwatches.

Observe all safety and danger notes at
the machine and keep them in a legible

m Stability
Make sure that the machine is installed in a
stable fashion on a strong base.
m Mains connection of the machine
•
Check the mains cables. Do not use any
defective cables. See "Electrical connec-
tion".

Observe the motor and tool rotational direc-
tion. See "Electrical connection".
•
Installations, repairs and maintenance work
to the electrical installation may be carried
out only by professionals.

To correct problems, switch off the machi-
ne. Pull the plug.
•
When you leave the workplace, switch off
the motor. Pull the plug.

Disconnect the machine from all external
power supply for even negligible reloca-
tions! Before starting up again, properly
reconnect the machine to the mains!
Additional safety notes for drive shaft ope-
ration
•
For haulers with hydraulic or pneumatic
PTO shaft clutch, a drive shaft with free-
wheel must be used.
•
To remedy problems or remove jammed
pieces of wood, stop the machine, switch
off the hauler and remove the ignition key.
Intended use m
•
The safety, operating and maintenance
requirements of the manufacturer as well
as the dimensions given in the Technical
Data must be observed.
•
The applicable accident prevention ordi-
nances and the other generally recognised
safety-technical rules must be observed.
•
The machine may be used, maintained or
repaired only by experienced persons who
are assigned to do so and who are instruc-
ted regarding the dangers. Independent
changes to the machine exclude a liability
of the manufacturer for resulting damages.
•
The machine may be used only with original
scheppach accessories and original tools
from the manufacturer.
•
Any use that goes beyond these terms is
considered improper. The manufacturer is
not liable for damages resulting from such
use; the user alone bears the risk thereof.

In addition to the safety requirements of these
operating instructions, it is absolutely imperative
that you observe the laws of your country that
apply to the use of the machine.
Store the operating instructions, in a plastic
sleeve protected against dirt and moisture,
by the machine. They must be read by every
operator before beginning work and observed
carefully. The only people who may work at the
machine are those who have been trained in
the use of the machine and instructed regarding
the dangers connected with it. The required
minimum age must be observed.
In addition to the safety notes contained in these
operating instructions and the particular laws of
your country, the generally recognised technical
rules for operation are to be observed.
•
When you leave the workplace, switch off
the hauler and remove the ignition key.
•
During transport of the circular saw, the
PTO shaft operation must be switched off.
•
The warning sign with tail lamp DIN 110030
must be mounted at the saw, and the tail
light must be connected to the hauler.
•
The circular saw may be operated only with
haulers with 3-point construction Category
1 and 2, at a speed of 1/min. 540.
m Setup and adjustment of the machine
•
Carry out retrofitting, adjustment, measu-
rement and cleaning tasks only when the
motor is switched off. Pull the plug and wait
for the rotating tool to come to a stop.
•
All protective and safety guards must be
re-mounted immediately after completed
repair and maintenance.
•
Use only saw blades that are well-sharpe-
ned, fissure-free and not deformed.
•
If the saw slit of the table plate shows signs
of wear, both table plates must be replaced.
•
The saw is designed exclusively for the
cross-cut sawing of firewood with max. 1m
length and min./max. Ø 60 – 250 mm.
•
Only saw blades that adhere to the Euro-
pean Norm EN 847-1 may be installed.
