Switch off the automatic gun
■ Switch off the control air.
■ If spraying has finished or a longer spraying break is planned, switch the spray-
ing air off, drain the gravity flow cup, flush the gun and heed the instructions for
care and storage (see chapter 11).
10. Maintenance and repairs
The following chapter describes the procedures involved for maintaining
and repairing the automatic gun.
If maintenance work is performed while the gun is still connected to the
compressed air circuit and material supply, components can unexpect-
edly work loose and material can leak.
→ Before performing any maintenance work, drain the automatic gun,
switch it off, disconnect it from the compressed air circuit and drain the
gravity flow cup.
Attention!
Incorrect assembly can cause damage to the automatic gun.
→ Fix the automatic gun on a flat surface before all kinds of maintenance
work.
→ Make sure that threads fit properly.
→ Grease all moving parts with SATA high performance grease (Art. No.
48173).
Loose screws can cause damage to parts or result in malfunctions.
→ Tighten all screws by hand and check that they are screwed tight.
Use of the wrong tool can damage the automatic gun.
→ Only use the special tool supplied by SATA.
Springs and small parts can fall out during dismantling. The precise instal-
lation position and installation sequence is shown in the figures. Failure to
comply can cause damage to the parts or result in malfunctions.
