Oil Supply Control
To check the chain lubrication keep the chain on a
piece of paper and give full throttle for a few seconds.
On the paper the quantity of oil can be checked.
m NOTE
Make sure that there is always enough oil in the tank
because chain lubrication is always on.
Automatic chain lubrication - Settings possible!
8. Operation
Start the appliance (Fig. 10-13)
m CAUTION!: Before you start the engine, make
sure that the chain isn't touching anything and
the chain brake is activated before each start.
Never start or operate the chainsaw if the chain and
the chain brake lever or the front hand guard have
not been properly installed. In addition, always start
with the chain brake active. Proceed as follows for
this:
• Hold the saw by the front handle (4).
• Push the front hand guard (3) forwards to posi-
tion (3b). Open the throttle briefly, the saw chain
should not move.
• Draw the front hand guard (3) back to position (3a).
Open the throttle, the saw chain should move.
1. Set the power switch (11) to position „ON".
(Fig. 10/Pos. 11a)
2. Press the fuel pump button (16) until this is filled
with fuel.
m NOTE
When restarting immediately after stopping the en-
gine, do not pull out the CHOKE (7).
1. Press the front handle (3) forward to activate the
chain brake
2. Place the saw on a firm, level surface. Hold the
saw firmly with the foot as indicated. Quickly pull
the starter (13) 2 times. Pay attention to the
running chain!
3. Once the engine has started, press the throttle
trigger lock (8) and the throttle lever (10) so that
the CHOKE knob (7) clicks into place again.
4. Pull the front handle (3) backwards to release the
chain brake.
5. Let the engine warm up, controlling the throttle
setting (10) and letting the chain run briefly.
Stopping the motor (Fig. 10)
1. Release the throttle lever and wait until the en-
gine is idling.
2. Set the power switch to „Stop (0)" to stop the mo-
tor. (Fig. 10/Pos. 11b)

m NOTE
To stop the engine in an emergency, activate the
chain brake and set the ON / OFF switch to „Stop".
9. Cleaning and maintenance
m WARNING
Disconnect the spark plug boot before doing any
cleaning and maintenance work. (Fig. 19)
Cleaning
• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the mo-
torhousing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it-
with compressed air at low pressure.
ATTENTION! Wear safety glasses!
• We recommend that you clean the device immedi-
ately each time you have finished using it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth
and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents
or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts
of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep
into the device.
Air filter (Fig. 16-18)
• Clean the air filter (H) after each use.
• Unscrew the air filter mounting nut (Fig. 18/Pos. 6)
and remove the cover. (see Fig. 16)
• Remove the air filter (H).
• Clean the air filter. Wash the filter in clean, warm,
soapy water. Let the air dry completely.
• Insert the air filter. Put on the cover of the engine /
air filter. Make sure the cover is installed correctly
(S-V). Tighten the screw that secures the cover.

m NOTE
It is advisable to keep a stock of spare filters.
Oil supply opening (Fig. 20)
• Check the oil supply opening (K) after each use.
• Dissemble the bar.
• Check the oil outlet (K) for obstructions.
Guide bar (Fig. 23-24)
• Clean the bar after each use.
• Remove the bar from the machine.
• Remove sawdust from the bar and the oil channel
(Fig. 23/Pos. 1).
• Lubricate the teeth (Fig. 24/Pos. 2/3) through the
oiling hole with an oil syringe.
