Note 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
Note 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. The electroma-
gnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection by structures,
objects and people.
a. Field strengths of fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio (cel-
lular/cordless) telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and
FM broadcast and television transmission cannot be theoretically predicted
with accuracy. To evaluate the electromagnetic environment based on fixed
RF transmitters, an electromagnetic assessment should be considered. If
the measured field strength at the location where the ri-scope® L is used
exceeds the above-mentioned RF degree of compliance, the ri-scope® L
should be observed to ensure normal operation. If abnormal performance
is observed, additional measures may be required, such as reorienting or
moving the ri-scope L.
Recommended distances between portable and mobile RF communications
equipment and the ri-scope® L.
Recommended distances between portable and mobile RF communica-
tions equipment and the ri-scope® L.
The ri-scope® L is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in
which RF emissions are controlled. The customer or user of the ri-scope L
can help to avoid electromagnetic interference by observing the minimum
distance between portable and mobile RF communications equipment
(transmitters) and the ri-scope L in accordance with the maximum output
power of the communication equipment.

For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the
recommended distance in metres (m) can be estimated using the equation
applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum out-
put power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter
manufacturer.
Note 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance applies to the hig-
her frequency range.

netic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection by structures,ob-
jects and people.
