6. FROST

Frost can cause damage to the pump. The pump must be removed and stored
in a frost proof environment if the water is likely to freeze.

7. BATTERY INFORMATION

After 12 to 18 months, you should replace the battery. For this purpose unscrew the battery cover
and replace the battery with a new (replacement batteries available on request). Please note the
limited implied warranty of 6 months.
Important! It must be ensured that the battery cover is properly tightened and watertight.
With repeated charge and discharge cycles Lead-Acid and NiMh battery packs are less efficient
(memory effect).
This effect is much less pronounced in Li-ion batteries, but is still present to a small extent.
Batteries can age prematurely due to very short and frequent charging processes and many other
operating influences. The batteries are therefore subject to a shortened warranty of 6 months as
consumable and wear parts.
If you find that the battery will be less efficient, the battery needs to be fully charged. To do this,
leave the device in the sun for at least 8 hours (pump must be connected) to allow maximum
charging of the battery. We recommend to occasionally repeat this procedure to extend the battery
life.
If after this recharging the battery still does not meet expectations, you should replace the batteries.
NOTE: The battery is delivered in a pre-charged state. If there is not sufficient charge,
charge the battery for at least 8 hours. To avoid damage to the battery due to overcharg-
ing, the pump must be connected.

8. BATTERY REPLACEMENT

8.1 Remove the pump plug and the LED plug
from the solar panel.
8.2 Remove the cover by unscrewing (6) screws.

the old battery pack with a new battery
pack and join the connectors together

is tightened watertight!
