Fixing a malfunction
A malfunction may be due to a minor problem that you can solve yourself using the instructions in
the following table. Before calling a technician, please perform the following checks:
Problems
The appliance is not running.
The appliance cools down too
much.
The appliance does not cool
down enough.
The lights don't work.
A large amount of frost is
forming; sometimes even on
the door seal.
Unusual noises.
The compressor does not
start immediately after a
temperature change.
There is water at the back
of the appliance or on the
shelves.

Possible causes
The appliance is not plugged
in or is not turned on.
A fuse has blown or is
defective.
The power socket is
faulty
The thermostat is set to a
temperature that is too cold.
The thermostat is set to a
temperature that is too hot.
The door stayed open too
long.
A large amount of food at
room temperature has been
placed in the appliance in the
last 24 hours.
The appliance is located near
a heat source.
The lighting is faulty.
The door seal is leaky
(perhaps after reversing the
direction the door opens).
The appliance is not straight.
The appliance touches the
wall or other objects.
This is normal, it is not a
malfunction.
The defrost water drain hole
is blocked.
Solutions
Plug the appliance into an
electrical outlet and turn the
thermostat knob.
Check the fuse, and replace it
if necessary.
Repairs to the outlet should
be done by an electrician.
Temporarily set the
thermostat to a warmer
temperature.
Refer to the "Switching
on and selecting the
temperature" section.
Do not open the door longer
than necessary.
Temporarily set the
thermostat to a cooler
temperature.
Please refer to the
"Installation Location"
section.
Contact your retailer's after-
sales department.
Carefully heat the leaking seal
sections with a hair dryer (set
to cool). At the same time,
correct the position of the
door seal with your hand.
Adjust the feet.
Move
the appliance slightly.
The compressor will start
after a while.
