1.7 Intended use

These Georg Fischer diaphragm valves have been designed exclusively- for stopping,
conducting or controlling the flow of media within the permissible- pressure and temperature
range when installed in a piping system. The maximum service life is 25 years.
 Cavitation must be avoided in control operations.
 Due to the flexible diaphragm, the characteristic curve shows slight hysteresis when the
direction of actuation is changed.
The allowed pressure range for all the allowed temperatures are contained in the diagrams
for each housing material in the Georg Fischer Planning Fundamentals. The Planning
Fundamentals also contain the List of Chemical Resistance for the diverse valve materials.
