Press this button when a CD is inserted to change from radio operation to CD
operation. Press the

Please note these instructions for playing back CDs and CDRs in MP3
format! The device is not able to play back MP3 fi les. The CD begins to

12. LOC/RPT Button
a) Radio Operation

In regions where the signal is too strong, press the LOC/RPT button to
improve reception. The letters „LOC" appeared in the display.

Press the LOC/RPT button again to return to the DISTANT mode. Re-
ception is now improved in regions where the signal is too weak. The
letters „LOC" disappear from the display.
b) CD Operation
Press the LOC/RPT button. The track currently being played is repeated.
Press this button again to cancel this function.
13. LOU/RDM Button
Switching the LOUDNESS function on and off.
When the volume is low the LOUDNESS function (LOUD) expands the sound
characteristics by increasing the treble and bass sounds.
Keep the LOU/RDM button pressed down in CD mode for approximately 3 se-
conds. The CD tracks are played at random. Press this button again (approx. 3
seconds) to cancel this function.
14. MON/INT Button
a) Radio Operation
STEREO/MONO switching
b) CD Operation
Press the MON/INT button. Each track on the CD is played for 10 seconds.
Press this button again to stop searching. The currently selected track is
played.
15. EQ Button (Equalizer)
By pressing the EQ button you can select the equaliser settings POP, CLS
(CLASSICS) and ROC(K). (DSP appears in the display.) Turn DSP off to make
your own settings. See also section 3.
