Ensure that the room of installation is equipped with a drain (discharge)
system appropriate to the puffer volume and any other equipment. The
warranty does not cover any costs arising from defaults at this point.
The formation of ice inside the thermal accumulator can cause serious
damages to the system and destroy the equipment. Therefore where
there is a danger of below-zero temperatures, the thermal accumulator
and the heating system must be protected. If system exceeds the max.
permitted pressure values, install a pressure reducer as far as possible
from tank.
On all CTS Puffers a suitable automatic venting system (air bleeding) has
to be fitted on top (hose on upper bottom surface) so as to ensure Higher
Thermal Load (CTS) system correct operation inside the storage unit.
In order to avoid the effects of any stray galvanic currents it is always
necessary to provide a PROPER GROUNDING of the systems.
4. Commissioning
Before commissioning a new water system, all pipes and equipment in-
ternal parts must be washed so as to prevent any residues from previous
machining, dirt, etc. from remaining inside them and leading to problems
and malfunctions. The washing procedure can be carried out by using
special cleaning solutions inhibiting the corrosion on heating side and by
simply letting mains water flow inside the high-capacity domestic water
circuit for at least ten minutes.
During commissioning, the performance of a leak test (pressure
test) is strongly recommended.
5. Recommendations
The manufacturer, in order to adapt the product to the technological
progress and to special manufacturing, installation and positioning re-
quirements may decide to make changes without previous notice. As a
consequence, even if the images shown in this manual slightly differ from
your equipment, the safety and indications on equipment use are never-
theless ensured.
6. Disposal
At the end of the product life-cycle its metallic components
should be handed over to operators authorised to collect me-
tallic materials for recycling purposes, while non-metallic com-
ponents should be handed over to operators authorised to dis-
pose of them. If disposed of by the end customer, the products must be
managed as urban waste and therefore in compliance with the municipal
regulations of the relevant municipality. In any case they should not be
managed as household waste.
