11. Place the platform cen-
trally on the tenth rungs
and lock the claws in
place on the opposite
side.
12. Whilst sitting on
the platform, attach
the two guardrails to
the topmost rungs by
pushing them outwards
until the claws snap
onto the stiles securely.
Use temporary boards to help you
during installation on a scaffold
of size 3; on a scaffold tower of
size 5, use the second platform as
a temporary board.
The following step only
applies to scaffold towers
of size 3.
13. Install the end and
side toeboards (see
"Assembling scaffold
towers of size 2"
on page 41).
The following steps only
apply to scaffold towers of
size 5.
14. Insert the two-metre
push-on end frames
and push them in until
the spring clips snap
into place.
15. Install the diagonal
braces (see "Layout of
the scaffold towers"
on page 55).
16. Repeat the steps
described above to
install the guardrails
and platform.
Ensure the platforms'
openings are installed
on alternate sides to
allow ladders to be fitted
securely.
17. Install the end and side
toeboards.
