ISTRUZIONI PER L'APPLICAZIONE
Prima di indossare le ortesi LEGEND, ARMOR by DONJOY, 4TITUDE leggete
attentamente e per intero le presenti istruzioni. La corretta applicazione è indispensabile per il buon
funzionamento delle ortesi.

ISTRUZIONI PER LA REGOLAZIONE DELLE CERNIERE
L'ortesi è provvista di arresti di estensione ogni 10°. Per cambiarli, asportate innanzitutto la
vite (Armor by DonJoy, & Legend figura 5, 4TITUDE figura 6), quindi rimuovete gli arresti ed
inserite quelli nuovi, allineandoli con i fori della placca della cerniera. Completata questa
operazione, reinserite la vite. Utilizzando un cacciavite a croce, accertatevi che le viti siano
ben strette e che rientrino nell'apposita sede. Gli arresti mediale e laterale devono essere iden-
tici (in gradi).

Per rimuovere l'arresto di estensione, è necessario flettere prima la cerniera e sfilarne la copertura di
protezione (Figura 7).
Arresti di estensione: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30° e 40°.
Arresti di flessione: 0°, 45°, 60°, 75° e 90° (alla spedizione del prodotto non è installato alcun
arresto di flessione).
USO E CURA
• Se durante l'attività gli strap dovessero allentarsi, fissarli nuovamente in base alle istruzioni per l'applicazione.
• È possibile tagliare gli strap e le imbottiture in modo da adattarli alla circonferenza degli arti dei singoli pazienti.
• La ginocchiera può essere utilizzata in acqua sia dolce che salata. Dopo l'attività svolta in acqua, lasciar sgocciolare, risciacquare con
acqua dolce e asciugare all'aria.
• Lavare le imbottiture interne e condiloidee a mano in acqua fredda con detergente neutro. ASCIUGARE ALL'ARIA, NON
ESPORRE LE IMBOTTITURE A FONTI DI CALORE.
• Per un uso normale, il meccanismo dell'articolazione richiede una manutenzione minima. Tuttavia, è possibile applicare un
lubrificante secco, come uno spray a base di Teflon™, al meccanismo interno dell'articolazione. La lubrificazione a secco è consigliata
inoltre dopo l'uso della ginocchiera in acqua.
• Controllare periodicamente che le viti dell'articolazione siano ben salde e serrarle nuovamente, se necessario.
Consultare sempre il medico o il terapista prima di apportare qualsiasi modifica alla ginocchiera.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before applying the LEGEND, ARMOR by DONJOY or 4TITUDE brace, please read these instructions
completely and carefully. Correct application is vital to the proper functioning of the brace.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HINGE ADJUSTMENT
Your brace comes with 10° extension stops installed. To change the installed stops, first com-
pletely remove the screw as shown (for Armor by DonJoy & Legend figure 5, for 4TITUDE figure
6). Then remove the stops. Insert the new stops, align with the holes in the hinge plate, then
reinsert the screw. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, ensure that the screws are seated in the
recess and completely tightened. Both medial and lateral stops must be identical in degree.

In order to remove the extension stop, it is necessary to flex the hinge and slide the protective shield cover
off before removing the stop (figure 7).
Extension Stops: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, and 40°.
Flexion Stops: 0°, 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90° (no flexion stops are installed upon shipment)
USE AND CARE
• If during activity, re-tightening is necessary, re-tighten all straps following steps in the application instructions.
• All straps and pads may be trimmed to fit individual variations in limb circumference.
• The brace may be used in fresh or salt water. Following use in water activities, drain thoroughly and rinse with clean, fresh water and then
air dry.
• Hand wash your liners and condyle pads in cold water with mild detergent. AIR DRY ONLY, DO NOT HEAT DRY LINERS OR PA
DS.
• The hinge mechanism requires little maintenance in normal use. However, you may apply a dry lubricant such as a Teflon
internal mechanism of the hinge. Dry lubrication is recommended following use in water.
• Periodically inspect hinge screws for tightness and retighten as needed.
Always consult with your physician or therapist before making changes to the brace.
Warranty: Congratulations on your purchase of a DonJoy ® brand brace. Please be assured that it is made of the finest material and technology available. Your brace
comes with a 6 month warranty against defects on soft goods associated with the brace. The Legend™/4titude ® / Armor brace has a 1 year warranty against defects
on material and workmanship for the brace frame and hinges. Replacement straps, liners, etc., can be purchased from your local representative, medical provider, or
by calling Customer Care at (800) 336-6569, fax (800) 936-6569. The warranty, expressed and implied, shall not apply to any brace which has been repaired and/or
serviced by anyone other than dj Orthopedics personnel or by a person authorized to perform such activities by dj Orthopedics. Any modification of brace will result
