Then insert the timer into a properly installed socket and then connect the de-
sired device whose power supply has to be controlled with the timer.
The timer is ready for use.
4. Important safety and usage instructions
• Do not connect in series.
• Disconnected only when the plug is removed.
• For use in protected outdoor areas.
The device is protected against contact with active or internal, moving parts with
tools, wires etc. having a diameter more than 1mm (except openings for inserting
the plug contacts). The timer is also protected against splashing water. But jets
of water (e.g. water from a garden hose) should not be directed at the product!
Operate the device either indoors or outdoors in a protected area such as under
roof overhangs. Do not expose the product directly to rain! There is a risk of
electric shock!
5 Warranty
1. The statutory warranty rights apply for products: For new items, the warranty
period is two years from the date of delivery.
2. If the buyer is a merchant, the following applies by way of derogation from
clause 1:
2.1. The quality of the goods is defined as agreed, only by the seller's own speci-
fications and the product description of the manufacturer, but not any other kind
of advertising, public promotions and statements by the manufacturer.
2.2. The buyer is obliged to check the goods immediately with utmost care for
deviations of quality and quantity and report apparent defects promptly to the
seller in writing. Timely dispatch of the notification of defects shall suffice for
complying with the time limit. This also applies for concealed defects established
later, from the time of their discovery. In case of violation of the obligation to
inspect and notify, warranty claims cannot be asserted.
3. In case of defects, the seller may provide warranty either by repair or replace-
ment.
