Vermeiden Sie das Verlegen des Kabels über die Lenksäule. In der Regel sollte das Kabel lang genug sein, um die A-Säule (Fahrerseite) über die Beifahrerseite zu erreichen. Ein evtl. werksseitig vorhandenes Mik- rofon ist nicht kompatibel mit dem ESX Gerät. Bitte verwenden Sie das mit- gelieferte Mikrofon. -

INSTALLATION NOTES / Installationshinweise Handbrake connection: Connect the cable from the handbrake connection (14) with the handbrake signal in your vehicle. The signal must be connected with ground while the handbrake is applied. Please contact for a proper and safe installation your car dealer! according to legal regulations, the device must playback a DvD or video on the main screen only with the handbrake applied, never connect the the cable permanently with the vehicle‘s ground. -

INSTALLATION EXAMPLE / Einbaubeispiel 1.) First remove the original radio. 1.) Bauen Sie zuerst das Original-Radio aus. 2.) First remove the screw covers at the driver and front passenger foot space (picture shows passenger side). 2.) Entfernen Sie zuerst im Fahrer- und Beifahrerfußraum die Schraubenabdeckung entfernen (Bild zeigt Beifahrerseite) 3.) Remove the the screws (Phillips) at the driver and front passenger foot space. -

INSTALLATION EXAMPLE / Einbaubeispiel 5.) Remove the 3 screws under the cover of the storage compartment in the center console (screw nut 10). Then remove the center console completely and the gear knob or gently push it back a little. 5.) Entfernen Sie die 3 Schrauben unter der Abdeckung im Staufach in der Mittelkonsole (Schrauben-Nuss 10er). - Seite 11 INSTALLATION EXAMPLE / Einbaubeispiel 9.) now remove on each side the 2 screws of the ventilation and 2 on the radio. 9.) Entfernen Sie nun auf jeder Seite die 2 Schrauben an der Lüftung sowie 2 am Radio. 10.) Then pull out the ventilation units on each side. 10.) Ziehen Sie jetzt die Lüftungsschächte auf jeder Seite heraus.
- Seite 12 INSTALLATION EXAMPLE / Einbaubeispiel 13.) now mount the 2 metal brackets from the original radio on each side of the eSX device with the original screws. 13.) Nun befestigen Sie die 2 Metallhalterungen des original Radios auf jeder Seite des ESX Geräts.
- Seite 13 17.) Führen Sie die beiden Lüftungsschächte wieder ein und befestigen diese. 18. Before you complete the installation of the new eSX device, check its function. Please note that it may take up to 15 minutes, until a GPS signal can be received (in the open).
