Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may re-
sult in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all safety warnings and instructions for future
reference.
Hold the power tool only by the insulated grip-
ping surfaces when performing an operation
where the cutting tool may contact hidden wir-
ing. Contact with a "live" wire will also make ex-
posed metal parts of the power tool "live" and
shock the operator.
When working, never guide a hand or fingers in
front of the saw blade.
Do not work with materials containing asbestos.
Apply the machine to the workpiece only when
switched on.
The cutting path must be free of obstacles both
above and below.
When sawing, the complete surface of the base
plate 10 should securely rest on the material. For
the working of smaller or thin workpieces, use a
stable foundation or a saw table (accessory).
When the cut is completed, switch off the machine
and then pull the saw blade out of the cut only after
it has come to a standstill (danger of kick-back).
Do not brake the saw blade to a stop by applying
side pressure after switching off.
Use only sharp, flawless saw blades. Change
cracked, bent or dull saw blades immediately.
Never allow children to use the machine.
Always remove battery before working on ma-
chine.
Chips or splinters may not be removed while the
motor is running.
Plunge cutting is only possible in soft materials
(wood, light building materials for walls); for hard
materials (metals), a hole must be drilled that is
sufficiently sized to accommodate the saw blade.
When the battery is inserted while the On/off
switch is pressed, the machine will not restart
again for safety reasons!
When working with the machine, always hold it
firmly with both hands and provide for a secure
stance. The power tool is guided more secure with
both hands.
Secure the workpiece. workpiece clamped with
clamping devices or in a vice is held more secure
than by hand.
Safety Warnings for Jigsaws
Use clamps or another practical way to secure
and support the workpiece to a stable plat-
form. Holding the workpiece by hand or
against your body leaves it unstable and may
lead to loss of control.
Always wait until the machine has come to a
complete stop before placing it down. The tool in-
sert can jam and lead to loss of control over the
power tool.
Avoid unintentional switching on. Ensure the
On/Off switch is in the off position before insert-
ing battery pack. Carrying the power tool with
your finger on the On/Off switch or inserting the
battery pack into power tools that have the switch
on invites accidents.
Before each use, check the machine and battery.
If damage is detected, do not use the machine.
Have repairs performed only by a qualified tech-
nician. Never open the machine yourself.
Before any work on the power tool (e. g. mainte-
nance, changing the tool, etc.), remove the bat-
tery. There is danger of injury from an accidentally
starting power tool.
Use power tools only with specifically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
Never allow children to use the machine.
Battery and Battery Charger
The enclosed operating instructions for the bat-
tery charger must be read carefully!
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact acci-
dentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid con-
tacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or
burns.
Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one
type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when
used with another battery pack.
Allow a heated battery to cool before charging.
Do not open the battery, and protect it from im-
pact. Store in a dry and frost-free place.
Protect the battery from heat and fire:
Danger of explosion! Do not place the
battery on radiators or expose to strong
sun rays for a longer time; temperatures
over 50 °C cause damage.
