Eliminating faults yourself
Fault
Optical display:
Permanent light after
inserting the mains plug
and/or while switching
on the garage door
opener.
Opener light flashes
regularly (one-second
cycle).
Opener light flashes
irregularly (three
seconds OFF/one
second ON).
Opener light does not
come on.
Garage door opener
does not function when
the handheld transmitter
is actuated.
Garage door opener
does not/not fully open/
close the door.

Possible cause
Stop position setting and/or test
run not complete.
Obstacle detected (e.g. by
obstacle detector or actuation
of the safety equipment such
as light barrier, wicket door
contact).
While monitoring the electronic
components, the electronics
detect an irregularity.
Bulb defective.
Battery in the handheld
transmitter discharged/
incorrectly inserted.
Code in the receiver not yet
read.
Stop position setting, test run
not complete.
Door mechanism damaged.
Unfavourable conditions
outside (e.g. heavy rain) have
increased the door weight.
Garage door opener identifies
the situation as an obstacle.
No mains voltage (LED U does
not come on).
Remedial action
Reset mains plug. Pull out and re-
insert mains plug. Set stop positions
and conduct test run in accordance
with operating instructions.
Remove obstacle, open/close garage
door.
Reset: Simultaneously press control
button a and programming button b for
5 seconds. (Opener light flashes).
Reset verified by solid light. Reset
stop positions and conduct a test run.
Programmed handheld transmitters
are not deleted. If the opener light
flashes again irregularly while the stop
positions are being programmed,
please contact Service Line.
Replace.
Check battery and, if required, replace
battery.
Log on handheld transmitter.
Set stop positions, conduct and
complete a test run. Then log on the
handheld transmitter.
Check door mechanism. Have the
garage door repaired by a garage door
technician.
Reset stop positions and conduct
a test run. Programmed handheld
transmitters are not deleted. If the fault
persists, please contact Service Line.
Have a technician check whether the
mains socket is being supplied with
mains voltage.
