Undo the clamping screw (22) and tilt the
machine head (4) by its handle (2) to the left to
the required angle dimension
(see also Section 7.2.5).
Re-tighten the clamping screw (22).
Make the cut as described in Section 7.2.3.
7.2.7 Chip extractor (Fig. 3)
The saw is equipped with a vacuum extraction
socket (31) for chips and dust.
It is easy therefore to connect the machine to a chip
extraction system.
8. Replacing the saw blade (Fig. 14)
Pull out the power plug. The blade must stop
moving completely.
Set the saw to table mode (see 6.2.2).
Slacken the two Allen screws (38) and take off
the splitter (30) together with the blade guard
(17).
Take out the recessed head screw (33) and the
table insert (34).
Unscrew the recessed head screws (40) in the
removable blade guard (39). Important: Do NOT
unscrew the middle recessed head screw (41).
Swing down the soleplate (39) (see Fig. 17).
Use the supplied face wrench (21) to lock the
outer flange in place and use the socket wrench
(19) to unscrew the hex screw (Important: left-
hand thread. Unscrew clockwise!).
Take the saw blade (5) off the inner flange and lift
up and out through the slot in the saw table (16).
Thoroughly clean the outer and inner flange and
the motor shaft before inserting and securing the
new blade.
Important! The cutting bevel of the teeth, i.e. the
direction of rotation of the saw blade, has to
conform with the direction of the arrow marked on
the housing.
Re-mount the table insert(3), the splitter (30) and
the blade guard (17) and secure in place.
When fastening the splitter (30) make sure that
the distance between the teeth of the blade and
the splitter is a minimum 2 mm and a
maximum 5 mm (Fig. 08).
Swing up the blade guard (39) again and screw it
securely in place.
Before using the saw again, check that the safety
devices are in good working order.
