Open both shut-off units or angle stop
valves.

Hold your hand under the washbasin tap to
test the function.

Replacing the batteries

When using Geberit washbasin taps with battery
operation, the batteries will last for around 200,000
activations. When the battery is almost dead, the
red LED will flash during flush actuation. → See
"Rectifying malfunctions", page 14
Prerequisite
– Two replacement batteries (alkaline battery,
1.5 V, AA) are available.
– There are no objects in the washbasin.

Detach the cover plate. → See illustration
sequence 1 , page 237.

Remove the power supply cable from its
bracket and remove the battery box. → See
illustration sequence

Open the battery box and remove the dead
batteries.

Insert new batteries.

Close the battery box.
✓ The washbasin tap switches on. After
approx. 5 seconds water flows.

Insert the battery box and snap the power
supply cable into the bracket.

Hold your hand under the washbasin tap to
test the function.

Checking and charging the
rechargeable battery for
generator operation
If Geberit washbasin taps with generator operation
are used less than around 20 x per day, the
rechargeable battery will not be sufficiently
charged. When the rechargeable battery is almost
empty, the red LED will flash during flush actuation.

When the rechargeable battery is connected to a
battery charger, the LED on the battery will indicate
the following operating states:
LED LED Operating state

Running water is charging the
Blue On rechargeable battery, generator
function test
Rechargeable battery totally
Red On discharged, replace the
rechargeable battery
Battery charger is charging the
Red Flashing rechargeable battery, flush
actuation not possible
Battery charger is charging the
Green Flashing rechargeable battery, flush
actuation possible
Rechargeable battery is
Green On
completely charged
Prerequisite
– A standard battery charger with a micro-USB
connector is available.
– There are no objects in the washbasin.

Connect the battery charger to the USB
socket on the rechargeable battery.

Charge the rechargeable battery until the
LED on the battery lights up green
continuously (this will take around 5 hours).

Unplug the battery charger.
