Displaying MAX/MIN values
Press the "MAX/MIN" button briefl y to switch between the display of the maximum values
("MAX" appears in the display, to the right of the temperature values), the minimum values
("MIN") and the current readings.
If you don't press any button for 8 seconds, the current readings reappear in the display.
Deleting MAX/MIN values
• Briefl y press the "MAX/MIN" button until either the maximum values ("MAX" in display) or the
minimum values are indicated.
• Hold down the "MAX/MIN" button for about 3 seconds, all minima and maxima stored will be
deleted. The current temperature values will be stored as the new minima and maxima until
a new change occurs.
Choosing the outdoor sensor
☞
The base station can receive and display the measured data from up to 3 outdoor
sensors. Each outdoor sensor must be set to a different transmission channel.
If more than one outdoor sensor is registered in the base station (one is included in the delivery,
more sensors can be ordered separately), briefl y press the "CH" button to select the measured
value of the respective outdoor sensor. The corresponding channel number is indicated to the
right, at the bottom of the display.
Warning of glaze ice or frost
If the outdoor sensor measures a temperature between -4 °C and +1 °C, the snow fl ake symbol
"
" fl ashes to the left of the outdoor sensor's temperature display. This symbol warns of
glaze and black ice.
At temperatures below -4 °C, the symbol is permanently displayed (no fl ashing).
Transmission range
The transmission range of the radio signals between the outdoor sensor and the base station
is up to 30 m under optimum conditions.
☞
This transmission range data refers to the so-called "free-fi eld range". However, this
ideal arrangement (e.g. base station and outdoor sensor on a plain, even meadow
without trees, houses etc.) never exists in practice.
Due to the different infl uences on the radio transmission, no specifi c range can be guaranteed.
However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a detached house.
The range can be signifi cantly reduced by proximity to cables, pipes, metal pieces, electronic
devices, and similar. Thick walls, steel construction, laminated insulation glass windows, etc.
also reduce the range signifi cantly.
If you notice that the base station does not contain any measured values of the outdoor sensor,
check the condition of the batteries in the outdoor sensor fi rst. Following that, select another
location for the base station and the outdoor sensor. If required, perform a manual search for
the outdoor sensor (see section "Manual search for the outdoor sensors").
Disposal
a) General instructions
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
b) Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the rel-
evant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your commu-
nity's collection point or any place where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thus fulfi l the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
Replacing the Battery
a) Base station
• Open the battery compartment of the base station.
• Replace the spent batteries by two new batteries of type AAA/Micro (pay attention to posi-
tive/+ and minus/- when inserting the new batteries). Close the battery compartment again.
• Once the batteries are inserted, the base station starts searching for the signal of the avail-
able outdoor sensors. This takes approx. 3 minutes. Do not press any button during this time.
Do not move the base station.
b) Outdoor sensor
• Open the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
• Replace the used-up batteries by two new batteries of type AAA/Micro (pay attention to posi-
tive/+ and minus/- when inserting the new batteries). Close the battery compartment again.
Ensure the correct fi t of the gasket.
• Start a sensor search on the base station. For this purpose, press and hold the "CH" button
on the back of the base station for 3 seconds until the symbol "
• The search for the outdoor sensor takes 3 minutes. Do not move the base station and the
outdoor sensor during this time.
