tion 6]. Nach dem Gong die Ansage durchgeben.
3) Bei Einsatz des Digital-Message-Einschubs
PA-1120DM lässt sich eine gespeicherte Durch-
sage auch über das Kommandomikrofon abru-
fen, wenn der Schalter DIGITAL MESSAGE (47)
in der Position ON steht:
a) Mit dem Wahlschalter MESSAGE BANK (55)
die gespeicherte Durchsage auswählen.
b) Mit der Taste START/STOP (59) die Durch-
sage starten. Zum Abbrechen der Durchsage
die Taste START/STOP erneut drücken.
c) Mit der Taste REPEAT/STOP (58) kann eine
Durchsage auch mehrere Male durchgegeben
werden. Die Anzahl der Wiederholungen und
die Länge der Zwischenpausen sind am Ein-
schub einstellbar (siehe dessen Bedienungs-
anleitung). Zum Abbrechen der Durchsage die
Taste REPEAT/STOP erneut betätigen.
Hinweise
1. Die Durchsage des Speichers M 6 kann ge -
sperrt sein (siehe Kap. 4.1.1, Punkt 9). Steht
in diesem Fall der Schalter MESSAGE BANK
in der Position 6, wird die zuletzt angewählte
Durchsage wiedergegeben.
2. Ist am Verstärker mindestens eine Zonen -
taste (3) gedrückt, ist nach dem Lösen der
Sprechtaste TALK ebenfalls die mit dem
Schalter MESSAGE BANK gewählte Durch-
sage zu hören. Um dieses zu verhindern,
einen Speicherplatz des Digital-Message-

7.5 Zone paging microphone PA-6000RC

1) First switch on the PA zones in which the an -
nouncement are to be heard with the buttons
SPEAKER ZONES SELECTOR (56), otherwise
no announcement will be possible. To activate all
zones, press the button ALL CALL (57).
2) For the announcement keep the TALK button
(54) pressed. The amplifier activates the PA
zones according to the preselection under item
1) independent of the adjustments at the ampli-
fier and increases the volume in the zones to
maximum [corresponds to the adjustment of all
zone volume switches (2) to position 6]. After the
chime make the announcement.
3) When using the digital message insertion PA-
1120DM a memorized announcement can also
be called via the zone paging microphone if the
switch DIGITAL MESSAGE (47) is in position ON:
a) Select the memorized announcement with the
selector switch MESSAGE BANK (55).
b) Start the announcement with the button
START/STOP (59). To stop the announce-
ment, press the button START/STOP again.
c) With the button REPEAT/STOP (58) an an -
nouncement can also be made several times.
The number of repeats and the length of the
time intervals can be adjusted on the insertion
(see its operating instructions). To stop the
announcement, press the button REPEAT/
STOP again.
Notes
1. The announcement of the memory M 6 may
be locked (see chapter 4.1.1, item 9). If in this
case the switch MESSAGE BANK is in posi-
tion 6, the announcement last selected is
reproduced.
2. If at least one zone button (3) has been
pressed at the amplifier, after releasing the

7.6 Tischmikrofon PA-1120PTT

1) Das Mikrofon PA-1120PTT wird an die Buchse
P.T.T REMOTE (45) angeschlossen und belegt
damit den Eingang 1. Zum Betrieb benötigt es
eine Phantomspannung. Darum die Taste PHAN-
TOM POWER (44) des Eingangs 1 drücken.
2) Soll beim Betätigen der Sprechtaste TALK vor
einer Durchsage der Gong ertönen, den Schalter
CHIME auf der Rückseite des Mikrofons in die
Position ON (nach unten) stellen.
3) Den Schalter PRIORITY in die Position ON stel-
len, wenn:
1. das Mikrofon 2. Priorität erhalten soll
2. beim Drücken der Sprechtaste TALK alle
Beschallungszonen eingeschaltet und auf
maximale Laut stärke gestellt werden sollen
[wie mit Taste ALL CALL (4)]
3. die angeschlossenen Pflichtempfangsrelais
schalten sollen (siehe Kap. 6.2.9)
4) Für eine Durchsage die Sprechtaste TALK
gedrückt halten und ggf. den Gong abwarten.

7.6 Desk microphone PA-1120PTT

1) The microphone PA-1120PTT is connected to
the jack P.T.T REMOTE (45) and thus reserves
the input 1. For operation it requires a phantom
voltage. Therefore, press the button PHANTOM
POWER (44) of input 1.
2) For the chime to sound prior to an announce-
ment when actuating the TALK button, set the
switch CHIME on the rear side of the microphone
to position ON (downwards).
3) Set the switch PRIORITY to position ON when:
1. the microphone is to take 2
2. all PA zones are to be switched on and set to
maximum volume when pressing the TALK
button [as with button ALL CALL (4)]
3. the connected emergency priority relays are
to respond (see chapter 6.2.9)
4) For an announcement keep the TALK button
pressed and wait for the chime, if necessary.

8 Schutzschaltung

Der Verstärker ist mit einer Schutzschaltung gegen
Überlastung, Überhitzung und Kurzschluss an den
Lautsprecherausgängen ausgestattet. Die Endstufe
wird mit einem Lüfter gekühlt, dessen Drehzahl von
der Endstufentemperatur abhängt. Sollte trotzdem
die Temperatur zu hoch ansteigen, wird der Verstär-
ker stummgeschaltet und die rote LED PROTECT
(16) leuchtet. In diesem Fall den Regler MASTER
(17) ganz auf Null drehen, warten bis die LED PRO-
TECT erlischt und dann den Verstärker ausschalten.
Die Fehlerursache beheben, zum Beispiel:
1. Bei einer Überlastung weniger Lautsprecher an -
schließen oder wenn möglich, an den Lautspre-
chern eine geringer Leistungsaufnahme einstel-
len. Eventuell einen zweiten ELA-Verstärker
einsetzen (siehe Kapitel 6.2.5).
2. Bei einer Überhitzung für eine bessere Luftzirku-
lation sorgen.
3. Bei einem Kurzschluss an einem Lautsprecher-
ausgang die Kurzschluss stelle lokalisieren und
beseitigen.
8 Protective Circuits
The amplifier is equipped with a protective circuit
against overload, overheating, and short circuit at
the speaker outputs. The power amplifier is cooled
with a fan whose rotation speed depends on the
temperature of the power amplifier. If in spite of this
the temperature should increase too much, the
amplifier is muted and the red LED PROTECT (16)
lights up. In this case turn the control MASTER (17)
fully to zero, wait until the LED PROTECT is extin-
guished, and then switch off the amplifier. Eliminate
the reason for the fault, e. g.:
1. In case of overload reduce the number of
speakers connected or, if possible, adjust a
lower power consumption on the speakers.
Maybe insert a second PA amplifier (see
chapter 6.2.5).
2. In case of overheating provide a better air cir-
culation.
3. In case of short circuit at a speaker output,
locate the position for the short circuit and
eliminate it.
