Charging Up the Battery
Please Note!
■
Risk of short-circuits! Do not insert
any conducting objects (e. g. screw-
drivers or similar items) into the
charging socket.
■
Only connect the mains adapter to a
plug socket that is properly installed
and matches its technical data.
The plug socket must be readily ac-
cessible after connection so that the
connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated.
■
Only use suitable extension cables
whose technical data is the same as
that of the mains adapter.
■
Unwind the connecting cable fully
before connecting it.
■
Remove the mains adapter from the
plug socket if a fault occurs during
charging or if a thunderstorm is
expected.
■
Charge the battery only with the
mains adapter supplied with it. Do not
use the mains adapter that is supplied
to charge up any other devices.

It is essential that you charge up
the battery fully before you fi rst
use the device in order to achieve
the maximum charging capacity.
If the battery control lamp (6) and the
operating lamp (3) are lit red, the battery
is weak and should be charged.
1. Make sure that the device has been
switched off. To do this, move the
On / Off switch (4) to the left.
2. First plug the barrel connector of the
mains adapter (F) into the connecting
socket (5) of the main unit (E) and
then connect the mains adapter to a
plug socket. The battery control lamp
fl ashes green during the charging
process.
The battery is fully charged when the
battery control lamp is lit up constantly
green.
3. First disconnect the mains adapter
from the mains power and then
disconnect the barrel connector from
the device.
Battery Status Displays
The battery control lamp (6) and the
operating lamp (3) indicate the battery
status by their colour:
○ green: battery full
○ amber: battery half full
○ red: battery almost empty
NOTICE! The battery must not be fully
discharged as this can cause damage to
the battery! To protect the battery, the
device therefore switches off automati-
cally when the battery is weak after the
battery control lamp and the operating
lamp have fl ashed twice. If this happens,
the battery should be charged!
