6 Electrical Connection
DANGER! Risk of death due to electric current!
Switch off the electrical system before you connect leads of the supply cable.
CAUTION! Material damage of flow switch!
In case of a damaged connecting cable, the complete flow switch has to be scrapped
and replaced. It is not possible to replace the connecting cable separately.
CAUTION! Destruction or damage of reed contact!
The max. contact loads mentioned on the type plate refer to pure ohmic loads and may
not be exceeded under any circumstances.
 Pay attention to § 1.1.1 Reed contact - Switching of inductive or capacitive loads.
The reed contact is electrically insulated (protection class II) and integrated into a plastic
bush.
 Connect the connecting cable according to the connection diagram ( Fig.).
"1" or blue (bl) / "2" or brown (br) = connections for reed contact.
 Fix the supply cable of the flow switch in such a way that the cable is
not exposed to excessive tension (max. 15 N).

Maintenance and Cleaning

Maintenance:
The flow switch is maintenance-free and cannot be repaired by the user. In case of a defect,
the device must be replaced or sent back the manufacturer for repair.
CAUTION! Material damage!
When opening the device, critical parts or components can be damaged.
 Never open the device.
Cleaning:
Clean the flow switch with a dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth. Do not use sharp objects or
aggressive agents for cleaning
