Burning fires in the SURPRISE

The best amount of wood to be used in the SURPRISE is 4 kg - about 4 to 5 logs. For barbecuing, we
recommend always using at least 4 logs. If you simply wish to enjoy the fire, 2 logs are sufficient. If you
stick to these guidelines, you will prevent too much smoke deposit on the glasses and an excessive
heat generation.
If the wood is of too high humidity, it may be better to use smaller logs. In this case, do not use more
than 4 kg of wood.
Attention: the smaller the logs, the faster the wood burns, resulting in very high heat being generated
over a short time. We recommend using logs with a circumference of approx. 21 to 25 cm.
The Rüegg SURPRISE consists exclusively of metal and other highly temperature-resistant materials.
Functionality, however, cannot be guaranteed when the materials expand due to excessive heat.
Damage caused by using too much wood is excluded from the guarantee.
