What should I do if...

If your appliance does not operate as required, check first if you can solve the problem yourself
by using the table below. The cause of the problem is often a simple one.
Problem Cause
Cooking zones do not get hot. The plug is not in the socket.
Fuse(s) in the meter cupboard
defective.
Metal-like marks on the Incorrect cleaning material
ceramic hob. used.
Scratches on the ceramic Sliding pans across the hob is

Remedy
Put the plug in the socket.
Check the meter cupboard.
Remove with a cleaning
material like Stahlfix.
Do not slide pans across the
ceramic hob.

Cooking-time limiter

For reasons of safety, the appliance has been
fitted with a cooking-time limiter. The cooking-
time limiter switches the cooking zones off
after a certain time, depending on the setting.
In the table below, you can see after how long
the cooking-time limiter switches the
appliance off for the various settings.

3 - 4 5 hours
5 4 hours
6 - 7 - 8 - 9 1,5 hours
If the appliance has been switched off by the
cooking-time limiter, 'H' appears in the
display.
If you want to prevent the appliance being
switched off automatically, press one of the
selection buttons (the '–' button or the '+'
button).
