do not use the hand-tiller if damages are detected. Never
disable safety devices.
▪ According to application wear suitable clothing and protective
equipment. Do not wear loose clothing, jewellery etc. Tie up
long hair. Wear eye and hearing protection. Wear sturdy
shoes and long trousers to protect your legs.
▪ Make sure to have a safety stand when operating the hand-
tiller. Attention when walking backwards. Risk of tripping!
▪ Never hold your hand by the ON/OFF switch during transport.
Remove the battery from the device. Careful handling of the
unit reduces the risk of injury from the tiller tines.
▪ Do not attempt to remove cut material/earth lumps from the
tiller wheels or to hold material to be cut when the tiller tines
are running. Remove jammed material from the tiller tines
after the hand-tiller is switched off. Remove the battery from
the device. A moment of inattention while operating the hand-
tiller may result in serious personal injury.
▪ Do not touch the tiller wheels during use and keep fingers,
hair, clothing and similar objects away from the tiller tines.
Switch on the unit only when your fingers and feet are clear
off the tiller wheels. Please note that the tiller wheels will still
move for some seconds after switching off. Wait unit the tiller
tines have come to a standstill.
▪ Keep the tiller wheels always clean. Replace defective or
completely worn tiller wheels with original parts only. Bent
tiller tines will overload of the hand-tiller.
▪ When working with the hand-tiller make sure the tiller tines will
not touch wire etc. Always make sure metal parts, fences etc.
cannot be caught in the tiller tines. This will lead to damage to
the tiller tines and the unit. When the tiller tines become
blocked, immediately switch off the unit.
▪ Do not force the hand-tiller while working. Allow the unit to
work at the rate for which it was designed.
