Requirements for using UPnP server functionality properly
• Min. Firmware version 1.2.3.5
• Built-in 3,5" SATA hard drive
• Hard drive needs to be formatted after insertion in the device from the device
• Full package installation needs to be done
• Properties in the Options menu „System"are to be changed accordingly
How to activate the UPnP server?
We will explain in the upcoming text how to configure the UPnP server function on your
NOXON M740.

Step 1: Installation of a hard drive
Turn off your NOXON M740 and unplug the power supply. Now open the hard drive bay
which you can find on the back side and insert your SATA-Hard Drive with the sticker on
top. Please make sure that all connectors are turned towards your NOXON. Finally close
the hard drive bay by pressing the lid. You can now plug in the power supply and turn on
your NOXON.
Step 2: Formatting the Hard Disk Drive
In this next step the inserted Hard Disk will be formatted and prepared for the UPnP-
Server mode. To start the Hard Disk Drive formatting, please select „Options", „System"
and „Format HDD" in the main menu. A sub-menu will open in which you can select your
Hard Disk. In our example it is called „HDD1". A warning will appear.

ATTENTION: When you format your HDD all stored files will be lost. If there are
files on the HDD please save them on another device.
