9 Adjust Sample Water Flow continued

Slowly turn the knob counter clockwise one quarter turn to start the flow to the
DCC1000e. Note the flow on the display. It will slowly begin to change.
When first starting up set flow between 0.3 and 0.5 L/min to fill the analyzer. Once
water is flowing freely from the output turn the knob slowly clockwise until the reading is
between 0.15 and 0.2 L/min.
It is possible that some fittings may have loosed up during transport so allow the system
to run for at least 10 minutes and check for any leaks. Tighten as necessary. This step is
only needed for initial startup.
10 Configuring the DCC1000e
The DCC1000e is setup for operation with ammonia based chemistry and a set point of
99°C at sea level. If your application fits this criteria, no adjustments are required and
you can begin using the DCC1000e.
If your application is different, it will be necessary to make some small adjustments to
the compensation and temperature control.

Failure to do so will result in the sample boiling which could damage the
analyzer. Refer to Section 15 to find your altitude and the corresponding
temperature set point.
