Installation and Commissioning

 Thermostats may be installed only by
personnel trained in this application
area in accordance with the
installation instructions and local legal
requirements.
 Thermostats should always be
installed using suitable thermo-wells.
Never dip sensors of the series TAM
and TX directly into the medium.
Before selecting a thermowell, always
check for material compatibility with
measured medium.
 Caution when touching the device –
risk of burns. Thermostats can reach
a medium temperature of up to 130
°C. Risk of freezing at temperatures
below the freezing point.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
 ATTENTION: In no case is the wiring
box or plug to be opened or the
terminals to be wired before the
device is de-energized.
 The device must be used only within
the electrical and thermal limits
specified in the data sheet.
 Inductive loads can cause contact
burns or fuse the contacts. Pre-
ventative measures must be
implemented by the customer, e.g.,
by using suitable RC elements.
 Devices must be protected from solar
radiation and rain.
