Safety instructions

This appliance may not be used
by children aged 0 to 8 years.
This appliance can be used by
children from 8 years and above if
they are supervised continuously.
This appliance may be used by
persons with reduced physical,
sensory, or mental abilities or
lack of experience and/or know-
ledge when they are supervised
or have been instructed concern-
ing safe use of the appliance and
have understood the dangers
resulting from use.
Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance may not be per-
formed by children.
Keep the appliance and its power
cord away from children below 8
years of age.
The temperature of the
accessible surfaces may be
high when the appliance is in use.
Children never shall play with
plastic bags and packaging mater-
ial, as there is the danger of injury
or suffocation. Store such ma-
terials in a safe way or dispose of
them environment-friendly.
Before first use, check that the
voltage of your outlet corres-
ponds to that on the type plate of
the power supply unit.
Always connect the power supply
unit to a grounded socket.
Use only the supplied power
supply unit. Use of other power
supply units may lead to electric
shock, fire, or damage to the
product.
When the power cord of the
appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or
his customer service department
or a similarly qualified person to
avoid risks.
Never pull the plug by the supply
cord or with wet hands.
Use the appliance only for its
intended use.
Operate the appliance at temper-
atures between -10 °C and 40 °C.
The appliance is not intended for
use together with an external
timer or a separate remote con-
trol system.
Never operate the appliance out-
doors or in a hot, very damp, or
wet environment. Never put the
appliance or power cord on hot
surfaces or near open flames.
Place the appliance onto a flat,
stable surface resistant to heat
and water.
Do not use the appliance with a
damaged power supply unit, after
it has shown a faulty function,
or after it has been dropped or
otherwise damaged. Send the ap-
pliance to the nearest authorized
customer service for checking,
repair, or electrical or mechanical
adjustment.
Make sure that the power cord
does not come into contact with
a hot surface.
Do not immerse the appliance or
the power cord in water or other
liquids. Wipe outer surfaces with
a damp cloth. Clean the cooking
container in warm rinsing water.
The sous-vide rack, the steaming
basket and the glass lid can be
cleaned in a dishwasher.
Do not pull the power cord over
sharp edges. Do not jam or bend
the cord.
Do not stand on the appliance
and do not place anything on it.
