To do a check of the vibration damping
system
WARNING: Make sure that the motor is off
and that the power plug is disconnected.
1. Make sure that there are no cracks or deformation
on the vibration damping units. Replace the vibration
damping units if they are damaged.
2. Make sure that the vibration damping units are
correctly attached to the motor unit and handle unit.

Diamond chain
WARNING: Always use the recommended
guide bar and diamond chain.
WARNING: A diamond chain break can
result in serious injury if the diamond chain
is thrown in the direction of the operator.
Defective cutting equipment or the incorrect
combination of guide bar and diamond chain
increases the risk of kickback. Always use
the recommended guide bar and diamond
chain combinations.
WARNING: Always pull out the power plug
from the power source before you clean, do
maintenance or assemble the product.
WARNING: Do not use the product to cut
wood or plastic material.
There are 2 basic types of diamond chains:
• Drive link with bumper (A).
• Cutter with diamond segment (B).
• Drive link without bumper (C).

• Make sure that the motor is off and that the power
plug is disconnected.
• Use personal protective equipment. Refer to
Personal protective equipment on page 6 .
• If the maintenance is not done correctly and
regularly, the risk of injury and damage to the
product increases.
• Only do the maintenance as given in this operator's
manual. Let an approved service center do all other
servicing.
• Let an approved Husqvarna service agent do
servicing on the product regularly.
• Replace damaged, worn or broken parts.
• Always use original accessories.

Assembly

The diamond chain pitch:
When you use a diamond chain with 2 bumpers, the
diamond chain can be installed in 2 directions.
When you use a diamond chain with 1 bumper, the
diamond chain must be installed in the correct direction.
Refer to the illustration below.
To do a check of the diamond chain
• Make sure that the diamond chain is in good
condition and not damaged. There must be no play
in the diamond chain segments. The segments must

have the same wear and height. If the diamond
chain is damaged or worn out, it must be replaced.
• Remove the diamond chain from the guide bar for
inspection in these situations:
