Safety Notes
To avoid an electric stroke, take extra care not to touch the
measuring tips and the circuitry while taking measurements
(not even indirectly).
Avoid taking measurements in excessive humidity or under
wet conditions. When taking measurements, you absolutely
must have dry hands and stand on a dry floor with dry shoes.
Do not operate the multimeter around explosive gas, vapour or
dust.
Do not use the multimeter if it operates abnormally. Protection
may be impaired. When in doubt, have the meter serviced.
To avoid false readings which could lead to possible electric
shock or personal injury, replace the battery as soon as the
low battery indicator
appears.
Do not expose the multimeter to extreme temperatures and
store the device at normal room temperature.
Before each measurement, check the instrument, test leads
and probes and other accessories for possible damage. In the
event of damage, do not perform any measurements and have
the defective parts replaced.
Never connect a voltage source with the test probe tips when
the function continuity test, resistance measurement, diode
test or current measurements are selected.
Only use original accessory.
Maintenance and repair of the device should only be per-
formed by a qualified technician!
Do not disassemble the unit and do not attempt to repair it
yourself. There are no parts (except for the battery, fuse and
the test probes) serviceable by you inside. In case of ques-
tions or problems please turn to out customer service depart-
ment.
