VPT3/1 – CORDLESS 18V POWER TOOL SET
1. Introduction & Features
Thank you for buying the VPT3/1! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service.
If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Battery
The VPT3/1 contains one 18V battery and a charger with power
adapter. The battery is supplied UNCHARGED. It will be
necessary to charge the battery for approximately 5 hours before
use. To prolong battery life, avoid leaving the battery in the
charger for more than 24 hours – it is not dangerous, but can significantly reduce the lifespan of the battery. Do not
charge a battery when it or the ambient temperature is below 4°C.
Let the charger rest for at least 15 minutes in between charging cycles. The battery may become too hot to permit
charging in a warm environment or after heavy use. Let the battery cool down before recharging it.
When the battery is charged for the first time or after prolonged storage, the battery's charge capacity will only be
approx. 60%. However, after several charge and discharge cycles, the battery capacity will return to 100%.
Before inserting the battery into any of the tools:
• Ensure any accessories (saw blade, drill bits, etc.) have been fixed firmly and that any adjustment tools (hex key
etc.) have been removed.
• Verify if the work piece is adequately secured.
• Always ensure the battery is disconnected before making any adjustments.
The fuse in the charger's mains plug should always be replaced by a fuse with identical ratings.
These tools, the battery and the charger are specifically designed to work together. Do not attempt to use the tools
with another battery or charger than the ones supplied in this package.
Do not store your VPT3/1 in locations where temperatures may exceed 50°C.

! Make sure the trigger is extended all the way (OFF position) and the battery is disconnected before making any
adjustment or repair to the device.
! Immobilise the work piece properly and use clamps if necessary.
To insert a drill or screw bit, turn the keyless chuck (1) counterclockwise to open the jaws. When they are open wide
enough, insert the bit as far as needed. Turn the chuck clockwise to close the jaws onto the bit. Ensure the bit is
securely in place before use.
The drill/driver is equipped with a torque control mechanism (2), enabling you to select the required torque. Number 1
provides the least amount of torque and number 8.5 the most. Select the 'drill' symbol for full torque.
