Incorrect connection or overload of the electric motor can turn off the pump or cause
permanent damage,
Long-term operation at boundary conditions can accelerate the wear of the pump. The aging
accelerates particularly high temperature and high labor power.
Use of personal protective equipment is necessary. Working environment must be in
accordance with the safety rules of health at work,
Pumps are heavy, if necessary, obtain additional help,
The pumps must not be installed in the safety pipeline,
The pump should not be used as a handle for welding of pipe system, since it can be damaged,
When filling the system with the media make sure that the suction piping and pump are filled
with fluid and vented. Some type of pumps have bleed valve that must be positioned upwards
to inshore correct venting.
In open systems, where media is located below pump, return valve must be installed on
suction side of pipeline. Fill media through filling opening in a way that pump and suction
pipeline before and after return valve are filled.
If the gasket between the electro-motor part of the pump and the console is not correctly
installed, the pump will not be watertight and there is danger of damage to the pump,
On housing of the electric motor there are openings for condensate drain, this must remain
free (must not be thermally insulated), as this may interfere with the cooling of the engine or
the discharge of condensed water,
Hot media poses a threat of burns. Also, the pump motor can reach a dangerous temperature
which also poses danger to health,
Adapted pump for explosion-hazardous areas is allowed to be installed in hazardous area II,
however, the pump must be additionally protected against dry running. This can be done eg.
with control of the differential pressure or electric motor rated current. The pump can only
be used for pumping a mixture of water or water and glycol. The use of solvents is not
permitted, because it can damage the seals.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Before removing the terminal box cover, it is necessary to switch off the power supply. Connecting cables should
be sufficient for the permanent load and rated power of the pump and should be properly protected. It is
essential to connect grounding wire first. Grounding is sufficient only to protect the pump, pipelines should be
grounded separately, then connect the wires with voltage L1, L2, L3. Connection to the mains must be done in
accordance with the rating plate on the electric motor. For the electric motors form of binding Δ / Y see Figure
11.
When connecting the L1, L2, L3, it is necessary to align the direction of rotation of the electric motor by turning
label, which is marked on the protection of the cooling of the electric motor. It is mandatory to use a motor
protection switch that must be set to I
switch (TKO), which can be checked on the nameplate (Figure 12).
