7.3. Taking photographs

 Press the shutter release all the way down to take the photo-
graph. A tone indicates that the photo has been taken.
 The photos are saved as JPEG files.
7.3.1.

Using the flash

If there is insufficient light for the photo, the built-in flash can
provide the additional light required.
 Press the "Flash" button repeatedly to choose between the
following flash settings:
Setting
The flash only works in single shot and self-timer mode. It cannot
be used for macro shots and video recordings.
AUTO: The flash is activated automatically when
the shooting conditions require additional light-
ing
Flash always on
Flash always off
