Accessories (see page 9/20)
Mount accessories applying only
slight pressure. For disassembling,
turn the parts somewhat against each
other and pull apart.
Transport
The vacuum cleaner is not
suitable for handling by crane.
Do not hang the vacuum
cleaner to a crane hook. Otherwise,
you could injure yourself or damage
the vacuum cleaner.
Lock the lockable castors when
transporting the vacuum cleaner in
vehicles (see page 8).
Carry the vacuum cleaner only by
the handle, not by the push bar.
Only for FEIN Dustex 35 MX (**): Seal
off the vacuum connection with
the plug (see page 18).
Repair and customer service.
Prior to any maintenance and clean-
ing, disconnect the vacuum cleaner
from the power source (pull mains
plug).
Check the connections, seals and
hoses. Have damage repaired
only through a qualified repair per-
son and only using original FEIN
replacement parts.
Only for FEIN Dustex 35 MX (**): For
transport and maintenance of the
vacuum cleaner, seal off the vacuum
connection with the plug (see page
18).
Use commercially available, non-
scouring cleaning agents and water
for cleaning the vacuum cleaner.
After cleaning, allow the vacuum
cleaner to dry completely.
Empty the container each time
after using and remove coarse
debris and dust.
Empty the container after vacuuming
liquids. Afterwards, run the vacuum
cleaner with the accessories con-
nected for several minutes in order
to dry them.
Dispose of used flat-fold filters and
filter bags according to statutory reg-
ulations.
When replacing the power cable is
required, have this carried out by
FEIN or by an authorized FEIN
Service Agent, in order to avoid
hazardous situations.
Have a dust-technical inspection car-
ried out at least once every year by
the manufacturer or an instructed
person, e. g. for damage of the filter,
function and tightness against leakage
of the vacuum cleaner as well as
function of the control/monitoring
unit (for FEIN Dustex 35 MX (**)).
For category L and M vacuum clean-
ers that were in contaminated envi-
ronments, the exterior as well as all
machine parts should be cleaned or
treated with sealants. When per-
forming maintenance and repair
work, all contaminated components
that cannot be cleaned to satisfactory
must be disposed of. Such compo-
nents must be disposed of in imper-
meable plastic bags conforming with
the valid regulations for the disposal
of such waste.
For maintenance on behalf of the
user, the vacuum cleaner must be
disassembled, cleaned and main-
tained as far as feasible, without caus-
ing a risk for the maintenance
