Important notes
Scope of supply
Scope of supply of small parts for a replacement gearbox or replacement motor:
¯ Retaining clip
¯ O−ring
¯ Securing screw
¯ Fitting grease, Lenze ID No. 13211352
Tools and auxiliary material to be used, not included in the scope of supply:
¯ Medium duty screw locking adhesive, e.g. DELO−ML 5249
¯ Spacer plates for path extension, (¶ 25).

4.3.2
Preparation
Checking the new motor
¯ Remove the black thread protection cover.
¯ Examine the threads, O−rings, and centering areas and the end faces for visible
damage, Fig. 7.
If there are any irregularities, rework or reject the parts, if required.
Check of the motor and gearbox end faces
Check the interface areas on the motor and gearbox housing for damage:
A Examine the end face of the motor and gearbox housing; especially the edge area
of the retaining clip mounting position may be deformed.
B Examine the thread and the O−ring and centering areas (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8) for
possible traces of jamming.
If required, carefully remove protruding material or traces of jamming, e.g. using a small
file.
)
Note!
Be absolutely sure to protect the motor and gearbox against
contamination during the rework process!
