APPLIANCES WITHOUT FITTED PLUG
FITTING A PLUG - IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
GREEN & YELLOW
BLUE
BROWN
As the colours in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter 'E' or by the
earth symbol
or coloured green or green
and yellow. The wire which is coloured BLUE
must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter 'N' or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter 'L' or coloured red.
This appliance is manufactured to conform to
the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety)
Regulations 1989 and is designed to comply
with BS 3456. It complies with the requirements
of the EEC Directive (89/336/EEC).
Any connection error will render the
guarantee null and void.
- It is essential that your appliance is
connected by means of an earthed plug.
Non-compliance with this obligation can
cause an electric shock and may lead to
serious injury. It is vital for your own safety
that the earth plug corresponds to the
electrical installation standards in force in
your country.
- If your wiring system does not include
an earthed socket, it is vital that you call
in a qualified electrician before plugging
in the appliance in order to bring your
electrical system up to standard.
- Your appliance is intended exclusively for
domestic use and within the home.
- Unplug your appliance once you have
finished using it and when you are
cleaning it.
- Never use your appliance if it is not working
correctly, or if it has been damaged. In either
case, contact an approved Moulinex service
centre (see list in service booklet).
- Any intervention other than cleaning and
normal maintenance must be carried out by
an approved Moulinex service centre.
- Never put the appliance, the power cable or
the plug into water or any other liquid.

- Never allow the power cable to hang
down within reach of children.
- The power cable must never be in close
proximity to the hot parts of your appliance,
a source of heat or rest on a sharp edge.
- If the power cable or the plug are damaged,
do not use the appliance. To avoid any risk,
this must be replaced by an approved
Moulinex service centre (see list in service
booklet).
- For your own safety, use only Moulinex
accessories and spare parts which are
suitable for your appliance.
- Install your appliance on a worktop well away
from any source of heat and from any risk of
water splashes.
Before using your appliance
for the first time
- Unpack your appliance and keep the
guarantee card from the packaging, then
read the instructions for use carefully.
- Clean the cooking stone with a damp sponge
or cloth. Rinse and dry.
- The first time you use the appliance, a small
amount of smoke may be produced. This is
normal for first use.
- The first few times you cook, take care to
lightly oil your cooking stone.
Getting started
- Plug in the appliance. Set the control to po-
sition to start cooking. The indicator light will
come on.
- Allow the cooking stone to preheat for about
30 minutes.
Practical tips
- The stone is a cooking method which is
especially suitable for fine strips of meat,
fillets of fish, shellfish, vegetables and slices
of fruit.
- Avoid grilling frozen foods on the stone.
- Make sure that the meat cooked is dry.
- Never put anything acidic (such as vinegar)
on your stone.
- Watch out for splashes when you grill fatty
meat.
