8.4 Inserting/changing the battery
Replace the battery if it is dead. To replace the CR2032 lithium
battery, remove the cover of the battery compartment (5) on the
bottom of the kitchen scale by unlocking the cover with your
finger and then lifting it off.
Slide the battery down slightly in order to remove it (see arrow
direction in the illustration). Then you can remove the battery
from the holder.
Now insert a new CR2032 lithium battery. Ensure the correct
polarity when inserting the battery. It is marked in the battery
compartment (5). The plus symbol on the CR2032 lithium battery
has to be visible as shown in the illustration to the right.
Now reinsert the two guide lugs of the battery compartment
cover into the corresponding recesses and push the battery
compartment cover down until the locking mechanism engages.
The kitchen scale is now ready to use.
