• This appliance is only designed for
indoor use.
• Unwind the power cord completely.
Failure to do so could cause overheating
and possible fire hazard.
• Do not tug at the power cord to
disconnect the plug. Do not touch the
power cord with wet hands. Do not
remove the power plug from the power
socket while the product is in use.
• Do not use accessories, spare parts
or components not expected and / or
provided by the manufacturer.
• Always switch the appliance off and
disconnect the power plug from the
power socket when the appliance is not
in use or during transport.
• Do not use this appliance if it is damaged
or shows any signs of possible damage
or if it is not functioning properly.
Disconnect the power plug from the
power socket.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
• Never touch the unit with wet hands.

FIRST TIME OF USE
Unpack the fan and remove all the packaging materials and
dispose of them for recycling.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

BASE ASSEMBLY
•
Remove 2 thumb screws from the base and set aside. Align
the front and back base pieces and gently push until pieces
snap securely together (Fig. 3).
SECURING THE TOWER FAN TO THE BASE
•
At the base of the housing, remove the locking nut and set
aside
(Fig. 4).
•
Carefully lift the fan housing (Fig. 5) and place the power
cord through the center of the base.
•
Lower the fan housing into the base (Fig. 5), align the back
of the fan with the back of the base. Gently rotate the fan
housing until it is seated in the base.
•
Take the locking nut and place power cord through the
locking nut bringing locking nut up inside the base, (Fig.
6) screw the locking nut onto the fan housing turning
clockwise until fully tightened and an audible ratcheting is
heard.
SECURING THE CORD INSIDE THE BASE
•
Gently place the fan on its side, pressing the cord securely
into cord guides (Fig. 7A) along the inside of fan base,
exiting through the notched opening (Fig. 7B) ensuring a
flat and stable base for the fan.

Place 2 thumb screws into the base for added stability (Fig. 8).
•
Return the tower fan to its upright position.
Note: Do not operate the tower fan unless it is in its proper,
upright position.
REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY
INSTALLATION/ REPLACEMENT
INSTRUCTIONS
(See page 3)
1. Remove battery door by sliding downward in direction of
arrow
(Fig. 2).
2. Insert 2 AAA batteries into the remote following the
directional guides in the recessed slots. Batteries are not
included.
3. Replace battery door by sliding upward opposite of arrow
direction until door snaps in place.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ON/OFF
To turn fan on, press the Power button

SPEED CONTROL
The fan will automatically start on "Sleep" when initially turned
on. To adjust the speed up or down, press the Fan Speed button
(
) repeatedly to increase level.
OSCILLATION
To activate the Oscillation feature, press the Oscillation button
(
) once. Press the Oscillation button again to turn the
Oscillation feature off.
TIMER
Choose from 1, 2, 4, or 8 hour settings by performing the
following function:
•
1 hour: Press the Timer button
once.

2 hours: Press the Timer button twice.
•
4 hours: Press the Timer button a third time.
•
8 hours: Press the Timer button a fourth time.
Press the Timer button a fifth time to turn the Timer feature off.
CONTROL PANEL LIGHTING
HYF260E – AUTO DIM LIGHT FEATURE
Control panel light automatically dims to 50% brightness after
15 seconds and resumes to 100% brightness when settings
are changed.
HYF290E – NIGHTTIME LIGHT DIMMING FEATURE
Each time the fan is powered on ( ) the control panel light will
be set at 100% brightness.
Choose from 5 settings for your control panel lighting
preference:
•
Press the Light button ( ) once for 75% brightness.
•
Press the Light button twice for 50% brightness.
•
Press the Light button a third time for 25% brightness.
•
Press the Light button a fourth time for no light.
•
Press the Light button a fifth time for 100% brightness.

The remote control may be stored in the recessed area located
behind the controls when it is not in use.
CLEANING, STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
CLEANING
1. Switch the appliance off and remove the power plug from
the socket.
2. Clean the outer surfaces of the appliance with a soft,
damp cloth. Do not use petroleum, thinners or any other
chemicals. Use your vacuum cleaner with the brush
attachment to clean the grids.
3. Do not plunge the appliance into water or any other
liquids and do not pour water or any other liquids over the
appliance.
STORAGE
1. If you do not wish to use the appliance for a longer period,
clean it as described above.
2. Store the appliance in a cool, dry location. Cover it up to
protect it from dust.
DISPOSAL
This appliance complies with EU legislation 2012/19/EU
on end of life recycling. Products showing the 'Crossed
Through' wheeled bin symbol on either the rating label,
gift box or instructions must be recycled separately from
household waste at the end of their useful life.
Please DO NOT dispose of appliance in normal household
waste. Your local appliance retailer may operate a 'take-back'
scheme when you are ready to purchase a replacement product,
alternatively contact your local government authority for
further help and advice on where to take your appliance for
recycling.

As condition of purchase the purchaser assumes responsibility
for the correct use and care of this product according to these
user instructions. The purchaser or user must himself or herself
decide when and for how long this product is in use.
