SAT-FINDER SF 4000 BT
4.3 Use the app to set the antenna
Once you have a successful connection, the following main menu will appear:
4.4 Explanation of the individual app menu items
4.4.1 "More"
Under "Satellite" select the desired satellite.
In LNB the oscillator frequency can be set.
For most satellites "9.750/10.600" should be left as is.
Under "Transponder" you can select any frequency of the
satellite set as described above.
The already saved transponder can be changed with the "Edit"
function.
"Add" enables you to add a new
frequency (transponder) to the satellite.
The recently set parameters are sent to the
measuring device using the "Send" function.
Adjust you antenna as described under point 3.2.
If a reception is signalled during "Quality" and "Signal"
by clicking on "More", you can access the menu for
advanced settings. This can be used to perfectly set your antenna.
C/N: (Level spacing from desired signal and background noises).
This value states how much higher the desired signal is compared to
the background noises of the LNB. The higher the C/N value, the
better the signal. A good value is between 5 and 10. ( 10 = very
good) At a level of 4 or less, the reception will be impaired.
LEVEL: (Level)
Indicates the level in the dBµV measuring unit.
The higher, the better.
MER: Modulation error rate)
Value to assess the perturbations during transmission.
Here too, the greater the value, the better the reception quality.
BER: (Bit error rate)
Indicates the ratio of the defectively received bits to the overall
number of received bits.
The value should be below 1.10E-8.
A good reception is possible up to 1.10E-4.
