Do not use the appliance in places where the water
quality is questionable or is not sufficiently known
without properly disinfecting before and after
filtering.
Filter cartridges for the water filter can be obtained
through customer service or a GAGGENAU dealer.

To replace the filter cartridge

1 Press tab and fold cover downward.
After use, the water system is at low pressure.
Caution when removing the filter cartridge!
2 Unscrew the old filter by turning anticlockwise.
3 Remove the new filter cartridge packaging.
4 Insert new filter cartridge and turn clockwise until it
locks in place.
5 Close cover.

Dispense several litres of water from the water
dispenser. In this way, air is removed from the water
system.
7 Pour out water from the used filter cartridge. The filter
cartridge can be disposed of as household refuse.

After the replacement of the filter cartridge, keep the
button for resetting the filter display pressed for
3 seconds.
The Replace Filter LED (yellow/red) extinguishes.

Information on the water filter

Change the filter cartridge at least every 12 months. The
service life of the filter cartridge depends upon the water
quality and the water throughput. Under unfavourable
conditions, earlier replacement may be necessary.
If the appliance is to be shutdown for an extended period
of time (more than 4 weeks), remove and dispose of the
filter cartridge. Use a new filter cartridge when the
appliance is put back into operation.
If the appliance was not used for an extended period of
time or if the water has an unpleasant taste or smell, flush
out the water system. In addition, run the water dispenser
for several minutes. If the unpleasant taste or smell
persists, replace the filter cartridge.
The ice maker and water dispenser can be used without
the filter cartridge. In this case, install the blue bypass
cover.
