Beg_in recor~ing: If the
sound
track is unoccupied
(no check
marks

padlock),
press and release the

begin
recording.
The LCD screen will show a
"recording"
icon.

End
recording: Press and release the
(M)
button again to end
the
recording.
The recording
icon will
disappear from
the
LCD display. If
the
time between the beginning and ending of the recording
session is
greater
than
30
seconds,
only
the
last 30 seconds will be saved.

Other recording
options: If a sound track has been previously recorded
(noted
by
check mark
or padlock) and
it is
selected
by
pressing the
(M)
button,
several options will be
presented:

Exit: The EXIT option returns the stethoscope to the normal operating
state.
b. Re-Rec: The
RE-REC
option allows you to re-record the sound
track.
The prior recording and
its
associated
verbal
comment,
if
present,
will
be automatically
deleted.
c.
Play:
The
PLAY option
allows you to listen
to
the
recorded
sound
track.
The recorded sound track will be preceded by
the
verbal
comment,
if
present,
and the
recording
will automatically
loop
a maximum
of
12
times.
Press
and release
the (M)
button
again
to
stop playing the recorded sound track.
d.
Comment:
The COMMENT option
allows you to annotate the recorded sound track with a verbal
comment.
Press
and
release the (M)
button to
select COMMENT and then speak
into
the
chestpiece.
Press and release the
(M)
button
again
to stop
recording the verbal
comment. The verbal
comment
track
has a maximum length of 1 O
seconds.
Adding
a
verbal
comment to
the sound
track is optional.

Delete:
The
DELETE option
allows
you to delete the
recorded sound track and its associated verbal comment.
f.
Lock:
The LOCK
option is
intended to
prevent
accidental
deletion
of the recorded sound track. Press
and
release the
(M)
button to
select
the LOCK
option.
The
DELETE, RE-REC,
and COMMENT options will
be
disabled.
To unlock the
recorded
sound
track,
scroll
to UNLOCK
and press and release the (M)
button.
When
a sound
track is locked,
a
padlock
icon will
appear next
to
the
sound
track
in the RECORD
and PLAY
menus.
