Installing the Appliance

Location for installation
The most appropriate place for installing the
appliance is in a dry, easily ventilated room.
Avoid placing the appliance in a position where
it is exposed to direct sunlight or close to a
source of heat, eg. electric oven or
cooker, radiator, stove etc. If it is unavoidable
that the appliance is installed near a source of
heat, fit suitable insulation or respect the
minumum distances set out below:
3 cm between the appliance and an electric
cooker.
30 cm between the appliance and oil- or
coalfired ranges or ovens.
If the appliance is to be installed next to
another refrigerating unit, ensure that there is a
minimum distance of 2 cm between them in
order to avoid the formation of condensation.

Electrical connection

The appliance must only be connected to an
alternating current of 220-240 V/50Hz. Ensure
that the base of the plug socket is installed in
accordance with the norms in force and fit a 10
amp fuse or automatic cut-off switch.
Ventilation
Ensure that the hot air emitted from the rear of
the appliance may escape freely. This avoids
the condenser having to work harder and
prevents excessive electricity consumption.
Therefore, ensure that the ventilation grilles are
not obstructed in any way, and never cover
them.
