Air/water heat exchanger operation
The unit goes directly into operating mode after the mains voltage is applied.
The fan operates permanently.
The solenoid valve regulates the flow of cooling water in accordance with the switch cabinet temperature
setpoint (Tset). The switch cabinet temperature setpoint (Tset) is set via the thermostat.
• Factory setting: 35°C/ 95°F
• Setting range: 8°C / 46.4°F to max. 50°C / 122°F
• Setting range UL compliant: 8°C / 46.4°F to max. 45°C / 113°F
The solenoid valve regulates as follows:
Switch cabinet interior temperature is higher than the set switch cabinet temperature setpoint (Tset).
Solenoid valve: Open
Cooling medium: Flows
Float switch is triggered
Solenoid valve: Locked
Cooling medium: Does not flow
Switch cabinet interior temperature is lower than the set switch cabinet temperature setpoint (Tset).
Solenoid valve: Locked
Cooling medium: Does not flow

NOTE
Backflowing condensate may damage the electronics in the switch cabinet
Internal temperatures below the dew point or defective switch cabinet seals lead to excessive condensation.
Frequent checking of the seals helps to prevent heavy condensation build-up.
Ensure the free drainage of condensate.
•
The mains voltage must be within the specified range; see
A deviation of ± 10 % is permitted.
•
The rated frequency must be within ± 3 Hz of the specified value.
•
The ambient air temperature must be below 70 °C. For more options, see
Technical data.
Only use air/water heat exchangers in such a way that the specified cooling capacity can cover the actual
demand.
•
Perform the maintenance work in accordance with the maintenance checklist every 12 months, see template
Maintenance checklist template.
4.1
Fault signal
• Two connections are provided for connecting the fault signal. They are marked with the device tag SK, see
Electrical connection.
• The fault signal contact is potential-free.
Ensure that the contact is loaded as described in the technical data.
