Removing the seat from the chassis
Removing the seat from the chassis is simple. Press the large square buttons on both sides of the seat and lift
it by the handle(in the same way as with the cot). See diagram D2.
Reversing the seat
The seat can be fitted to the chassis facing either way. To change the direction of the seat, remove it from the
chassis, turn it round and reinsert it until you hear a click on both sides(in the same way as with the cot). See
diagrams D3 and D4. The various sitting and reclining positions can be set with the seat facing either way.
Using the harness of the seat
3
We advise you to use the five-point harness when using the Bugaboo Frog seat either freestanding or on
the chassis. The shoulder straps, crotch strap and waist straps are already fitted. The waist straps have to
be positioned as shown in diagram E3. Then place your child in the Bugaboo Frog seat. Pull the crotch
strap out between your child's legs. Pull the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and attach them
to the crotch strap. Pull the waist straps across your child's middle and also attach them to the crotch
strap. You should have heard four clicks. Your child is now safe and sound in the Bugaboo Frog seat. If
your child has a tendency to slip down, pull the crotch strap through the black loop on the seat area
before attaching the shoulder and waist straps to it.
WARNING Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged before use.
WARNING Before lifting the seat by the handle always check that the handle is fitted
correctly.
WARNING Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt.
WARNING Use a harness as soon as your child can sit unaided.
WARNING Don't let your child surprise you with unexpected movements: ALWAYS put
the harness on.
WARNING The harness must be properly fastened and adjusted to the size of your
child.
WARNING Babies have highly sensitive skins, so NEVER leave your baby unprotected
in the sun! Use the Bugaboo Frog Parasol (available as an optional extra).
See section L (Optional Accessories).
WARNING If your child has a tendency to slip down, pull the crotch strap through the
loop on the seat area before attaching the shoulder and waist straps to it.
WARNING Before using the seat with the Bugaboo Frog chassis for the first time you
should read parts G and H of these instructions.
USE OF THE SWIVEL HUB LOCK/BRAKE AND PARKING
G
BRAKE
Swivel hub lock/brake
By fully raising the swivel hub locking handle you lock the swivel hubs in position and the Bugaboo Frog
1
goes in a straight line. In this position the locking handle fits into the black holder.
By sliding the swivel hub locking handle fully downwards, the small wheels function as swiveling wheels,
2
resulting in optimum manoeuvrability
Operation of the parking brake.
The Bugaboo Frog has a parking brake which acts on the rims of the large wheels. It is operated by a lever
3
on the pushing handle. To engage the parking brake, push the lever down.
