Electrical connection

Depending on its design you can control the VS CD01-PI via
a multipole cable with 24 V DC or bus coupler with 24 V DC
(conversion from "multipole" version (24 V DC) to "fieldbus"
version, see section 6.5.3 "Connecting the bus coupler" on
page 78).
Use AVENTICS multipole cables to connect multipole
plug boxes.
6.5.1

Calculating VS power consumption

VS power consumption can be calculated as follows:
Add up the output of the coils in the VS that are switched at
the same time.
If you are connecting a bus coupler:
Also add the power consumption of the bus coupler
electronics.
6.5.2

Connecting multipole cables

Device failure due to excessive current on the multipole
socket!
Uncontrolled valve positions may occur.
Please ensure that the current per contact on the D-SUB
plug does not exceed 1 A.
Please use pre-assembled plugs.
